Central PA
The following submission is from Wray Sinclair who lives somewhere near Washington D.C. He sent us his images along with this note:
Hey guys,
Keep up the sweet work on focalFish! It is really awesome and definitely the highlight of my day from my otherwise lame and boring average day at highschool. Keep the sweet stuff coming. Thought I would throw a few things your way to see if you are interested in putting them up! Hope you guys are enjoying catching fish in Lousiana currently while I am supposed to be studying/doing homework.
Keep up the sweet website
You guys rock!

These images were from a trip I took with a co-worker from the shop I work at as we fished up around Central PA.
As school let out for the summer I needed to get away for some fishing. Living 15 miles from our Nations wonderful capitol, we lack trout within a 1.5-3 hour drive. All of my friends had been out fishing, but I had not, so this had been a much awaited trip.
We spent the time camping, and reheated soup was the norm for meals. We planned the meals around peak fishing times with breakfast being around 6am to get to the river before it warmed up, and dinner being around 4pm in time to get to the river for the evening spinner-fall. Getting off the river at 10pm meant a sandwich before bed.
The fishing was never really good, and we never got any of the major hatches that we were looking for. For 2 out of the 4 nights we had a decent spinnerfall, with the 2nd night yielding a 22″ rainbow on a #14 which was the big fish of the trip.
We fished two of the more known rivers in PA, and then hit one lesser known river to find some new water. What we found was a sweet limestone creek that was perfect for a little 3wt, But almost lacked fish except for a wild brown or two.
